Keith
Thomas - President
Keith
is passionate about capturing God's creation with a
camera. He realizes that life is lived well by giving
back to others, living wild at heart, and enjoying the
adventure behind a lens. His current interests are shooting
Landscapes and Wildlife (the wilder the better).
He
also is known in his family as the guy with the latest
camera capturing and sharing the family fun moments.
His first camera experience began in the late 70's with
a Nikkormat FT2. He learned the basics of photography
and darkroom work at Auburn working primarily on B&W
and Cibachrome print images. Digital photography has
sparked a new interest in capturing life through the
lens.
He
is active with his three teenage sons who also shoot,
both stills and video. "Getting out shooting with
them is really fun and educational - we all learn from
each other. OCC is the same way. It is an opportunity
to meet others with like interests who want to learn
and be better at capturing lifes' adventures.
Some
of the goals of the field trips are to learn to shoot
better by being in the environment and sharing knowlege
among others, as well as having fun with the equipment
and subjects. |

Katrina
Guensch - President Elect
Katrina started doing photography when she met my husband, Wayne Bennett, in the early 90’s. His passion for nature photography
inspired her to buy her first camera, a Nikon N90 SLR. Now she shoots with a digital Nikon D300 and D700. Katrina is constantly
learning how to improve her technical and fundamental skills and loves the challenge to take a better image each time she clicks
the shutter.
Katrina loves to travel and has been fortunate to have seen and photographed many places around the world. Photography has made
her more aware of nature and more appreciative of people and different cultures.
She is one of the original members of the Orlando Camera Club and was honored to win the Wayne Bennett Image of the Year for 2009.
Outside of photography Katrina is an attorney and part-time mediator.

Ron Caimano - Vice President
Having grown up in Rochester New York Eastman Kodak made everyone a photography enthusiast. My first serious camera had
expandably bellows. After that it was an old Minolta. I have been a member of the Orlando Camera Club for 2 years and currently
serving on the Board of Directors. I am a Canon shooter using a Canon 40D. I started out with a mentor and must say it is the
best way to get started.

Anna
Cary - Past President
Anna first got interested in photography during her
son's nursery school days, in Berkeley, CA, when she
would spend one school-day shooting "home movies"
of the entire class, and another day showing the movies
to the kids, complete with a tape recorded "sound
track" of the pop music of the day.
Her 14-year career as a medical imaging ultrasound technologist
brought the concept of photography to a new level (think
Baby's real first picture!). After seeing a local ad
for a Photoshop class in 2001, she signed up, bought
a Nikon Coolpix 5000, and was hooked! She took pictures
of everything in sight--golf courses, lizards, macro
flowers, people lifestyle shots--just so that she could
download the pics into Photoshop and start playing!
Play quickly turned into serious study, and Anna joined
NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals),
an online organization dedicated to the continuing education
of its members.
Her first SLR camera was the Nikon D70, which opened
a new world of photography, including little league
action shots. Anna is excited by all she has learned
from the OCC seminars, field trips, and especially the
monthly competitions.
In
addition to photography, Anna loves doing Photo Restoration.
After attending classes and numerous seminars, and spending
many hours perfecting her technique, she now offers professional
services and has a growing list of clients. |

Winnie
Gustafson - Competition Chair
When I joined Orlando Camera Club, I had my first digital camera(Kodak Easyshare) point
and shoot. When I entered the photo competition for the first time in my life I was hooked. I
knew I had to learn everything I could to become a serious photographer. The club had
everything I needed to work towards that dream. Anna Cary spent time with me teaching
Photoshop. I was using Photoshop elements 2.0 at first along with Kodak's little photo editing
software. What ever I was told to do, I did it. Whatever I was told to buy I bought it, when I
had the money. I competed in every competition. I attended every event, bought books and
equipment and most of all, shot lots of pictures.
I developed a love for Harness Race training and creative abstracts and gift card design.
Publications have used my images for gallery shots, contests and advertisements.
I think Orlando Camera Club had all the ingredients for photographers to be come as
successful as they wish to become. |

Susan
Germyn - Past President / Communications Chair
Susan
has been creating images for over 20 years. Her
love of photography started while studying for her degree
in Visual Communications and with her father who always
had his Yashica Mat twin reflex on hand. Susan
shoots everything from fine art images, portraits and
weddings to artistic alternative photography.
Polaroid transfers, lifts and manipulations are her
favorites.
Susan
has been involved in the Photographic Society and a
member of The Women in Creative Photography in Southern
California. She has had her images compete as
well as sold in competitions nationwide.
Having lived on three continents over the last 15 years,
Susan feels at home in Central Florida and at the Orlando
Camera Club.
As
a big fan of education and mentoring, the OCC offers
it's members the best of these things. Besides
being a full-time Mom, Susan volunteers her time with
a local hospice doing life reflection videos and photography. |

Reg
Garner - Past President
Reg’s
love for photography was inspired by his Dad, and he's
been taking pictures since he was a teenager.
He started with a match-needle SLR, and a makeshift
darkroom in the bathroom of his Dad’s house.
As
a fifth-generation native Floridian, he loves to capture
"The Real Florida" that most folks never see.
He can be found anywhere from deep in a cypress swamp,
to the Florida coast, to travels afar, always with
his camera bag and tripod. Reg also enjoys teaching
photography to his daughters and being an inspiration
to them as his father was to him.
Reg
works in the digital printing profession, specializing
in large-format color imaging. Photography and commercial
printing has changed drastically over recent years but
he will never forget the basics and solid foundation
that he learned under the red safe lights and smell
of developer in his Dad's bathroom. |

Wallace
Weeks - Past President
The
love began at age 10 with a Brownie Holiday camera.
While in Junior High, Wallace was able to begin his
study of photography. In the same year he built
his first darkroom at home and began to sell photographs
to other kids.
While
still in high school, and before the introduction of
automated mini-labs, Wallace was employed by a photo
studio to run their lab. That allowed Wallace
to refine his film developing and printing skills and
to develop new skills in studio photography. Wallace
continued to study photography in high school and grow
his business into a bona fide event photography service
which he operated through college.
After
earning an MBA, Wallace closed the photography business
and went into banking. Years of banking led to
the formation of a management consulting firm in 1992.
The success of the consulting firm provides the opportunity
for Wallace’s travel photography and has funded
the new photography business. Today Wallace’s
photography is primarily stock and secondarily product
and fine art. Several stock agencies in the US
and Europe represent Wallace. |

George
Stedronsky - Director & FCCC Representative
George
describes photography as the greatest hobby he could
ever dream of having: “With the click of a button, one
can capture the gamut of human emotion and the infinite
beauty of nature and preserve those moments to share
for eternity.”
His
interest in photography began in eighth grade when he
borrowed his father’s 35mm rangefinder to take a photography
course at Loch Haven Art Center (Currently Orlando Museum
of Art). From there George spent many hours shooting
for publications and events during his high school and
college days.
The
digital revolution has reignited George’s passion for
photography. He loves to shoot the people, places, and
things that make up the world around him. As father
to an active 4-year-old son, his shooting today is dominated
by his favorite young subject.
George greatly appreciates the exchange of knowledge
and ideas he has experienced through membership in the
Orlando Camera Club. “ This is great group of people
and photographers and being among them is both an inspiration
and a real pleasure.”

Dave Wood - Mentoring and Novice Group Chair
TBD |
|
Christian Mildh - Judging Chair
Christian has worked in the Orlando area as an
illustrator and designer for twenty years and for a number
of years as an art director for a technology company.
Receiving the gift of a Minolta SR-7 as a teenager in Finland,
combined with his innate interest, led him to discover that
photography could be more than just snapshots.
A Sony Mavica 3.3
megapixel ushered in the digital age and the increase in Christian’s
involvement and interest and quickly led to a Nikon D200 with print
resolution capacity – which crystallized Christian’s main interest:
discovering what can be done with images as starting points for illuminating
concepts, using photo illustration/manipulation to varying degrees,
or compositing, more often than the image alone being the final (more
traditional, rule-bound) result. Current favorite lens: LensBaby!
