The Florida Camera Club Council (FCCC), founded in 1959, is intended as an
umbrella body under which members of camera clubs of all sizes throughout
Florida can benefit by the interchange of ideas and experience of other
photographers. The Council organizes three competitions per FCCC Year - First Triannual Competition in March, Second Triannual Competition in June, and Third Triannual Competition in September. All Winners from these three competitions can enter the FCCC End of the Year Competition in December, where the best images in each category are chosen.
The principal purposes of FCCC competitions are:
- The encouragement of friendly comparison of the current photographic efforts of the members. New work is desirable.
- To serve as a proving ground for new techniques and current work.
FCCC – 2nd Tri-Annual Competition 2008
1. Color Prints, Monochrome Prints & Color Slide Competition
Deadline for Entries: May 27, 2008, at 4:00 p.m.
Entries collected : Triangle Reprographics, 850 W. Hughey Ave., Orlando, 32801. ( Corner of Hughey and Gore Street.), Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 7:00pm (after 5pm, ring bell for customer service). Anyone in Customer Service can help, just mention it is for “Orlando Camera Club” (Bin #1, JTS #12-347 if Customer Service Representatives not available). Please don’t forget to include Entry Form and Payment in a sealed envelop. And please be courteous, we greatly appreciate the assistance and sponsorship we receive from Triangle Reprographics.
Eligibility: Images that have scored 85 or above in the Orlando Camera Club Competitions may enter. Images that have previously received an 'Award' or 'Honor' in any FCCC Competition are not eligible to re-enter.
Categories: There are three categories in this competition: Color Print, Monochrome Print, and Slides. Images may be altered and manipulated, but must have originated in a camera. Please see FCCC Website for specific rules. There is also a separate Competition for Digital Images - see below.
Presentation of entries: Prints must be mounted on 16”x20” mats or foamboard. Image size may vary, but must be on 16x20 mats. Double-matting is permitted. Information to be placed on the back of the mat in the upper left corner must include include Entrant's name, Entry's title, Orlando Camera Club, and Competition Class ( Class A or Class B). OCC members who won 3 or more ribbons in last year’s FCCC competitions must enter Class A. Other OCC members may and should enter Class B.
All slides shall have a 'thumb spot' placed in the lower left-hand corner of the mount when it is viewed the right way. Please mark legibly the Entrant's name, Entry's title, Orlando Camera Club, and Class on the slide mount. Please protect the slides in a slide holder.
Entry fees: $2.00 per entry, which should be paid upon submission. Checks made to Orlando Camera Club are preferred. Please put payment in a sealed envelop with Entry Forms.
Number of Entries: An Individual is permitted no more than two per Category in a single competition. For example, an entrant may enter a maximum of 2 Color Prints, 2 Monochrome Prints, and 2 slides in this competition, for a grand total of 6 entries. This is in addition to entry limits for the Digital Competition described below.

NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT AN ACCOMPANYING ENTRY FORM.
Interclub Competition: An Interclub Competition for Monochrome Prints will be held in conjunction with the Second Tri-Annual Competiton, so help the OCC complete against other clubs and enter your best monochrome print in this competition.
2. Digital Photographic Competition
Host Club: DPI - SIG Naples
Deadline for Entries: Entries accepted May 28 through June 9, via e-mail only.
Eligibility: Entries will be accepted from any OCC member in good standing. The same Image may be entered in the Print/Slide Competition and the Digital Competition at the same time, however images that have previously won an “Award” or “Honor” in FCCC Competitions are not eligible.
Competition Categories: There are 2 Categories: Color and Monochrome.
Number of Entries: Each person may enter a total of 4 images ( any combination of Color or Monochrome) in the Digital Competition. This in addition to any limits allowed in the Print and Slide Competition.
File Format and Submission: Entries must be submitted as JPEG files. Each individual must attach all entry files to a single e-mail. ( Do not paste image in the body of e-mail). The Title of each JPEG image file must match the Title in the body of the accompanying email. In the SUBJECT box type “FCCC Tri-Annual Competition Entry”. In the BODY of the E-Mail include: First and Last Name of Artist; Competition Class (A or B ); Orlando Camera Club; Orlando; Title of entry images. Send E-mail to fcccrep@orlandocameraclub.com. The FCCC competition committee recommends 1024 by 768 pixel images, but will accept any size. Since all entries must be attached to a single e-mail, please keep file size manageable. E-mails greater than 10 MB ( 2.5 MB per image) frequently cause problems, so please keep them under this size.
Fees: No fees are required in the Digital Competitions.
