This is a Polaroid transfer.  The original is a slide image that has been exposed onto Polaroid film.  The development process is interrupted and the film dyes are transferred to water color paper.  This gives the soft painted effect.  The 3” X 4” image was then scanned and printed on an Epson 2200 on Epson enhanced matte paper. For more info on Polaroid transfers go to:  http://users.frii.com/uliasz/photoart/polaroid/
